The price tag is strongly in favor of the Samyang. The Rokinon 35mm F/1.4 isn’t perfect but I can forgive some flaws to keep the price around $550 to $650. Arguably, the Rokinon 35mm F/1.4 has fewer flaws than the Sony 35mm F/1.4. The Sony definitely has better build quality but also suffers from worse vignetting and purple fringing. Sharpness is very similar between the two lenses.
